F.A.Q

1. Are phone consultations successful? How do they work?

Phone consultations have become increasingly more requested and as successful as our office visits. We have designed a procedure, which, allows for anyone, anywhere with phone access to take advantage of our program.

2. How many phone consultations will I need?

It would take a series of at least 3 phone appointments to make you feel empowered to make the right food choices while losing body fat, or whatever your goal may be. After the 3rd appointment it will be up to you to determine the frequency of future consultations.

3. Will I be required to do any testing?

Testing is not required. Testing assessment will be done during the first consultation and will vary according to each individual client.

4. What other areas of expertise besides weight loss are available?

Weight loss is only one area of our expertise. David Allen Nutrition’s cutting-edge treatments also deal with the devastating effects of conditions such as menopause, PMS, blood pressure disorders, diabetes, stress management, thyroid conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disorders and many more.

5. Do Gastrointestinal Problems hamper weight loss?

Yes, they do. The body’s ability to process and digest foods are directly linked to our ability to lose or maintain a healthy weight. Sometimes G.I. problems can cause inflammation, slow metabolism and increase the body’s desire for simple sugars and carbohydrates, which can result in weight gain or inability to lose weight.

6. How much weight can I expect to lose and how soon?

There is no standard amount of weight that you are expected to lose. We understand that each client responds differently, some may lose a lot of weight fast, while others lose weight more slowly. Remember that each individual client has unique needs and a different set of circumstances, which can impact the way they lose and maintain their results.

7. Will I be on a restricted diet?

No. At David Allen Nutrition, we believe that the best way to achieve optimal health, is to educate clients to make healthier choices that go beyond restricting their diets from certain food groups. The best way to succeed is to adopt a healthier, more balanced way of eating and a plan uniquely designed for your individual needs and goals.

8. What is the best way to lose weight?

It is important to make small changes in your diet and lifestyle rather than trying to go on a "crash" diet or "fad" diet that claim you can safely lose 15 pounds in one week.

Furthermore, successful weight loss involves a permanent lifestyle change; otherwise, you will easily regain the weight that you lost. That is why it is important to have the support and attention of an individual program with the assistance of a qualified nutritionist.
